White privilege: Being able to only see yourselves as human beings. Dehumanization of the other is the key to whiteness. It’s the main reason it works. You dehumanize black folks to enslave and deny them rights. You dehumanize Native Americans so you can feel better about taking their land. You dehumanize Jews so you can feel no remorse for genocide.
